We are waiting for you at the first brunch of this season, in the courtyard of the Fortified Church in Movile / Hundertbücheln with the following program:
Movile brunch program:
a.) Between 11:00 and 13:00 - Local gastronomy in the courtyard of the fortified church, on the porch of the parish house. With an emphasis on regional specificity, seasonality, authentic recipes, local community involvement and sustainability. See menu below.
b.) Between 13:00 and 15:00 - Discovering the village and its surroundings, exercise after eating. Visit to the fortified church, presentation of the Churchfortress project and hike to the orchard.
c.) Between 15:00 and 17:00 - Workshop for children. For those who want even more exercise, we propose a hike and a bike tour to the mounds, approx. 1 hour on foot, 20 min. by bike.
Transilvanian Brunch is an itinerant project that started in 2008 in the Hârtibaci Valley and is now in its eighteenth season of organization.
Organizers: My Transylvania Association, Fortified Churches Foundation, Churchfortress e.V.
The purpose of this charitable event is to support:
a. promoting small villages and their communities
b. consuming seasonal products that come from small local producers
c. preserving natural heritage and protecting built heritage. The entrance ticket already includes a donation to the Fortified Churches Foundation for the care of these historical monuments.
d. spending meaningful free time outdoors. We eat out to support local projects that need our help.

Menu of the day for 26.04.2025
I. Starters:
Pita cones with mushrooms and egg, Pork meatballs, Zucchini dumplings with yogurt sauce, Potato salad, Boiled eggs with green onions, Bread with lard, paprika and red onion, Bread with zacusca, Bread with beaten beans and caramelized onions, Homemade bacon and ham, Cucumber rolls with cream cheese, Telemea and cow's curd, Quiche with spinach, Quiche with nettles
Vegetable cake, Raw vegetable salad (radishes, green onions, cucumbers), Pickles, Homemade bread, Raw vegetables: radishes, green onions
II. Main hot dishes
Sarmale in vine leaves with meat, Sarmale in vine leaves with rice
Salad soup with egg and smoked meat, Vegetable soup
Homemade sour cream
III. Desserts
Semolina Hencleș, Hencleș with apple
Jams: apples and pears, rose hips, plums

Coffee, Hot buffalo milk, Hot cow's trotters,
Elderberry syrup, Spring water
