The Peasant Market is organizing the Peasant Christmas Fair at the National Museum of the Romanian Peasant from December 19 to 21, 2025. The program is between 10:00 and 18:00 and admission is free!
Craftsmen and artisans from all over the country bring with them the most beautiful Christmas decorations, icons and stained glass, wooden and glass objects, ceramics painted with traditional Romanian motifs, felted wool figures and characters, toys and fabrics, jewelry, crocheted items, dolls and wreaths and much more, only good to give as gifts, painstakingly crafted by craftsmen and artisans from all over the country.
We are waiting for you with the tastiest traditional dishes for fasting and sweet: honey and bee products from Zacuști, pickles and jams, cozonac and pies, cheeses, artisanal mustard from Tecuci, holiday-specific dishes, but also tasty dishes prepared on site by skilled chefs: hot grilled sarmale for fasting and sweet dishes, pickles, mushrooms and vegetables, bulz fish borscht and trout with polenta and mujdei, all of which can be tasted as tradition demands at the Peasant Market!
This time too, there will be no shortage of collectibles brought by antique dealers from the dowry chests of Romanian villages: ii, fote, catrințe, vâlnice, peasant furniture, tablecloths, house linen, carpets. You can also purchase jewelry, porcelain, old books or various old objects, for connoisseurs.
