The Alba County Council, the “Augustin Bena” Cultural Center, the Mogoș Town Hall and Local Council, in partnership with the “Ovidiu Bîrlea” Communal Library and the Orthodox Parish of Mogoș – Miclești, invite you to take part in a heartfelt event dedicated to showcasing the ethnographic and spiritual heritage of the Apuseni Mountains: “𝐎𝐕𝐈𝐃𝐈𝐔 𝐁𝐈̂𝐑𝐋𝐄𝐀 – 𝐂𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐝𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐌𝐎𝐆𝐎𝐒̗”, on August 16–17, 2025.

🌾 The program is designed as a blend of tradition, spirituality, authentic folklore, and cultural remembrance, offering the public a complete experience:

📍 Church of “Saints Constantine and Helen” in Mogoș – Bîrlești
 🕙 10:00 AM – Religious service and presentation of the historical monument church (1844)

📍 Bîrlești Mountain in Mogoș
 🕛 1:00 PM – Traditional haymaking gathering at Bîrlești – highlighting traditional occupations

🕔 5:00 PM – Song, dance, and joy – traditional music recital with the participation of:
 • Instrumental group from Mogoș
 • Folkloric ensembles: Cântul Sălciuan, Sânceleni, 60+ Alba Iulia
 • TRIO TRANSILVAN from Alba County

 🕐 1:00 PM (in parallel) – “Ovidiu Bîrlea” Ethnography and Folklore Colloquium, with lectures given by researchers, professors, and musicologists from various university centers

🌟 The event is a tribute to the great ethnologist and folklorist Ovidiu Bîrlea, son of the village of Mogoș, a reference author in the study of Romanian folklore and a prominent figure in Transylvanian culture.

Through this diverse program, the community of Mogoș affirms its identity, revives ancient customs, and opens its doors to all those who love authentic traditional values.
