We invite you from June 27 to 29, 2025 to the Fair of the Holy Apostles Peter and Paul, organized in the inner courtyard of the National Museum of the Romanian Peasant, in Bucharest, Monetăriei Street, no. 3. Admission is free.
Craftsmen and young artisans will be present in the museum courtyard with their creations, which can be special gifts for those who bear the name of the Holy Apostles. The public is expected to visit the fair, where carpets and rugs woven on looms, brightly colored tablecloths and hand-embroidered towels from the Maramureș area, icons, folk costumes, clay pots, wood sculptures, silver jewelry, natural fiber clothing for children and adults, crocheted wool toys will be exhibited. The craftsman Iordan Lepădatu, a brand representative of national and international fairs, who last year was awarded the title of Living Human Treasure, will come with carved wooden household items, crafted with traditional tools.
Those who were unable to find a ia for June 24, Universal Day of Ia, can choose from authentic ia fairs, recently sewn by skilled women, as well as old ia, refurbished, from grandmothers' dowry boxes.
Producers bring fresh and matured cheeses, honey and palinca, fresh fruits and vegetables, homemade cakes, sugar-free magiun, gingerbread, zacuscă, jams and syrups of choice, flavored sherbets, medicinal herbs.
Those interested in antiques will find peasant furniture, brass vessels, wooden tools and countless other things that carry the charm of bygone times at the antique dealers present at the fair.
Dishes prepared on site can be enjoyed at the fair: knuckle in wine sauce, beef goulash in a cauldron, chicken paprikash, sarmale, grilled trout, kurtos kalacs.
The holidays have begun, so children's books can be found at the fair, and for those interested, an icon painting workshop will be open - registrations can be made at 0735072630 (craftsman Negoiță Adrian).
